News ticker
A news ticker, built into your site with no plugin and no library. A one-line strip: a label chip, then headlines that take turns (slide up or left, or cross-fade) or scroll past as a seamless marquee. Links with optional thumbnails and a muted date. A visible pause button; hover and keyboard focus hold it. Without JavaScript, a plain list of links.
Slide up, with thumbnails and dates
Fade, plain text, the label links to the offers page
Marquee at 50 px/s
Autoplay off: arrows only, no pause button because nothing moves by itself
You'll need to give us
- The headlines, and the page each one links toNeeded to startOr tell us where they come from, such as your blog or events list, and we will fill it from there.
- The word on its label, such as “Latest” or “Offers”
Send these with your request and we can start straight away. Everything else is ours to do.
Keep your latest news, offers and events turning over in one slim strip, so visitors see what is new without a banner shouting at them.

What it replaces
- PowerPack Content Ticker (Beaver Builder)
- Elementor Pro Post Ticker / Nav Menu ticker
- news ticker WordPress plugins
- the HTML marquee tag
Good for
A strip under the header or above the footer: the latest posts, this week’s offers, the next few events, a “Trending” row on a blog. Five to eight short headlines.
Not for
A page that already has a moving hero or carousel; more than one per page; body copy, or anything a visitor must read to finish a task (it truncates and moves on).
Accessibility
Written so the page works for every visitor, whether they browse with a mouse, a keyboard or a screen reader, and whether or not they have asked for less motion.
- WCAG 2.2.2: while anything moves by itself a visible Pause/Play button sits right after the label, first in the tab order; its name says what it will do. Nothing moves, and there is no button, without JavaScript or with autoplay off.
- Autoplay holds while the pointer is over the strip and while keyboard focus is inside it, and picks up on leave and blur unless the visitor pressed Pause. Pausing holds across hover; pressing Play starts it at once. It also holds in hidden tabs and off screen.
- The strip is a region named by its label, with aria-roledescription “ticker”. The headlines are not a live region, so automatic turns are never announced; the prev/next buttons write “3 of 7: <headline>” to a polite status line.
- Every headline link stays in the DOM and the tab order: tabbing to one that is not showing brings it in at once and holds the strip. The marquee’s second copy is inert and aria-hidden, so each link is reached once.
- prefers-reduced-motion (tracked live): no animation. Slide and fade swap instantly on the interval (or show the static list with reducedMotion="list"); a marquee is a static list.
- Without JavaScript every item is a visible list of links. Headlines are links, not headings, so the page outline stays clean.

How to ask for it
“The news-ticker on our home page, with …”
Name it, say which page and which part of the page it goes on, and say what goes in it: your photos, your words, your colors. That is a complete request. We build it, you approve it, and it goes live. If you know it by another name, from WordPress or from another site, that works too.
More elements you can ask for: Before / After, Particle field, Mega menu, Video background, Parallax band, Scroll reveal, Business hours, Flip box, Instagram feed, Accordion / FAQ, Card slider, Tabs, Info list, Video player, Testimonial carousel, Icon library, Animated text, Cookie consent, Animated background, Modal box, Announcement bar, Image hotspots, Info circle, Slide box, Countdown, Content toggle, Off-canvas panel, Video gallery, Map and directions, Link effects, Tabcordion, Tooltip, Responsive table, Notice, Toast, Loading, Menu button, Radio group, Stepper, Tags, Scrollbox, Sticker. Or see all of them working.

See them all working- Modal box
A box that opens when it is asked for — a click, a scroll, a hand leaving for the tab bar — and stays gone once it's been closed.
- Announcement bar
One line across the top for the thing that matters this week — with a date it stops itself, and a dismiss that stays dismissed.
- Countdown
Show exactly how long is left — to the end of a sale, the start of an event or today’s order cut-off — in your time zone, not the visitor’s guess.
- Content toggle
Let visitors flip between two versions of the same thing — monthly or annual prices, homes or businesses — without leaving the page.
